Green Day have been announced as the headliners for the EA Sports Super Bowl party called The Madden Bowl. The show is set for February 9th at the House Of Blues in Las Vegas, two days before the Super Bowl is played in the city at Allegiant Stadium. Also performing will be Big Boi with Killer Mike, and Breland.
In a statement announcing the event, Green Day said “Prepare your ears because we’re gonna bring the loudest show of Super Bowl weekend! Stoked to reunite with Madden NFL and remind the world that rock and football go together like EA SPORTS and It’s In The Game!!”
No word yet on how to obtain tickets for the show but we’ll keep you posted.
Tonight Show
Green Day will also be filming an appearance for the Tonight Show this evening in New York City. The band is expected to be playing on a subway platform in a common bit the show does where musical guests perform in disguise to an unsuspecting crowd. According to their tour manager Bill Schneider, the performance will be filmed at 8pm this evening.
