Green Day to play Dookie & AI in full on Saviors tour

Green Day appeared on the Howard Stern show this morning and aside from ripping through performances of ‘Basket Case’, ‘Letterbomb’ and ‘Dilemma’, the band also made a big announcement. On this summer’s Saviors tour, Green Day will be playing their iconic albums Dookie and American Idiot in full on all non-festival dates of the tour!

The band will also make time in the set for other classic songs along with new songs from Saviors on the tour.

The interview itself with Stern was excellent, as always, with great stories about meeting Van Halen, writing ‘Brain Stew’ and much more. The show is available to listen to on demand now on the SiriusXM app. Sign up for a free trial and you can not only listen to Stern but also catch Green Day’s Saviors release party at Irving Plaza tomorrow which will also be broadcast on SiriusXM.

busking on the tonight Show

As we mentioned yesterday, Green Day filmed an appearance for the Tonight Show last evening in New York at the Rockefeller Subway station. The band appeared in disguise for the first song, a cover of Bad Company’s ‘Feel Like Making Love’, before revealing themselves as Green Day (to the surprise of no one), and running through performances of ‘Basket Case’, ‘Look Ma, No Brains’, ‘Rock And Roll All Nite’, ‘Dilemma’ and ‘American Idiot’.
