Hopefully you’ve all had a chance to listen to Saviors on repeat today, if our fan ratings are any indication – you guys are loving what you’re hearing. Currently, the album is ranked #4 on our album chart behind only Dookie, American Idiot and Insomniac in the band’s catalogue!
Along with dropping a new music video for ‘Bobby Sox’, Green Day continued the promotional push today with an appearance at Rough Trade in New York where they played an intimate acoustic set for attendees who were able to gain entry by purchasing autographed copies of the new record. It obviously sold out very quickly but if you didn’t make it in you can check out the setlist and this fan shot video of their performance of ‘Dilemma’.
Q with Tom Power
Also released today was a nearly 30 minute interview on Q with Tom Power where they discuss the anniversaries of Dookie and American Idiot along with the new Saviors era of Green Day.
CBS Mornings
The band’s pre-taped interview with CBS Mornings also aired earlier today. Green Day gave a tour of 924 Gilman, the club where it all started for them, and sat down for an interview at their home studio, OTIS. You can watch the full 8 minute segment on the CBS website.
Subway Busking
The Tonight Show has posted Green Day’s appearance on their segment Subway Busking. The surprise performance was filmed on Tuesday and the edited clip was uploaded earlier today to their YouTube channel. The first video is the portion that aired on the Tonight Show and the second clip featured the songs that weren’t broadcast.
SiriusXM Small Stage Performance
Finally, Green Day’s Saviors release concert at Irving Plaza last evening will air on the Green Day Radio channel at 9pm EST on Saturday. You can check out the setlist for the show here and watch their performance of ‘1981’ below.
