Song Notes
Green Day recorded their version of 'I Fought the Law' for a Pepsi and iTunes commercial that aired during Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004. While the track was originally written by The Crickets, the band clearly used The Clash’s 1979 classic cover as their blueprint. Shortly after its Super Bowl debut, the song was released as a standalone digital single.
