39/Smooth reissue + Merch drop + Tre charity single

It’s been rather quiet of late regarding news about Album 14 but we are just a couple of weeks away from Green Day taking the stage again in Milwaukee for the Harley Davidson Homecoming Festival. That event will be the first of four festivals the band will headline this summer, you can find ticket information for that and the others on our Tour page.

The news hasn’t been completely dry though, this past week has seen a couple of merch announcements and the release of a charity single featuring Tre Cool so check out all the details below.

39/Smooth vinyl reissue

Green Day has once again partnered with 1-2-3-4 GO! Records on another exclusive vinyl reissue – this time the long out-of-print 39/Smooth record (silver vinyl) is up for pre-order in a package that includes the Slappy (yellow vinyl) and 1,000 Hours (green vinyl) EPs. This package is exclusive to 1-2-3-4 GO! with each copy hand numbered and there will be no further represses once these are gone. The shipping date is July 14th and the supply is already running low so head over and pre-order yours today.

Rock Roll Repeat merch drop

This morning Rock Roll Repeat announced that their second Green Day merch drop will take place on July 7th. We previously interviewed owner Joshua Shame when this merch partnership was first announced, you can read that interview here if you missed it. The first batch of merch flew off the shelves but many of the items have since been restocked so check out their store if you didn’t nab something in the first go-round.

While we don’t know exactly what will be released in the second drop, clues on what the designs will look like are no doubt being teased in the preview image above. Joshua did let us know there will be five new designs that cover four different Green Day albums in this batch. Make sure to follow along with the Rock Roll Repeat Instagram account for release news and giveaways!

United Strike Back single

Tre Cool has joined Gogol Bordello and friends on a charity track benefiting Kind Deeds which is helping wounded Ukrainian defenders to regain mobility with prosthetics.

Along with Tre on drums, the track features Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Joe Lally (Fugazi), Roger Miret (Agnostic Front), Sasha (Kazka), Montey Pittman (Ministry) and Puzzled Panther. The track is available on all streaming services and the profits will go directly to Kind Deeds.
