EP was recorded when the band was still using the name Sweet Children. They changed their name to Green Day just prior to the EP’s release in April ’90.
All songs from this session are on the 1,000 Hours EP and were later included on the 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours compilation.
Liner notes: “Recorded, mixed & edited in 7 hours by Andy Ernst at Art Of Ears, S.F., CA.”
According to Billie Joe, Dry Ice took 18 times to record because John kept making mistakes while drumming. At the very end of the song you can hear John yell, “Yes! We did it!”
