Green Day received an MTV Video Music Award nomination today with a nod in the Best Rock category for the ‘Oh Yeah!’ music video.

The band was last nominated for the award in 2017 for ‘Bang Bang’ but haven’t scored a win since ’21 Guns’ came home with the award along with wins for Best Direction and Best Cinematography.
Overall, Green Day has taken home 11 moon man trophies since their first nomination in 1994.
This year’s ceremony will air on Sunday, August 30 on MTV. You can vote now until August 23rd for Green Day to take home the award on MTV’s website.
