Longtime Green Day touring guitarist Jason White performed a solo concert at The Rake in Alameda, CA yesterday and debuted a brand new song from Pinhead Gunpowder, a side project of which he and Billie Joe are members alongside Aaron Cometbus and Bill Schneider.
As we reported last month, the members of Pinhead Gunpowder were recently working on new material for the first time in 15 years but we had no official confirmation on the status of the new material until now. Before performing a new song he’d written for the band, White told the audience “Just recently we finished a new Pinhead Gunpowder, so I’m gonna attempt to do one of mine off of that so you’ll be the first to hear it”.
