Billie Joe Armstrong covers Manic Monday by the Bangles

Billie shares new cover & joins COVID benefit

Billie Joe has shared the latest cover in his “No Fun Mondays” cover project, this time taking on ‘Manic Monday’ by The Bangles. In the video for the song, Billie recruited Bangles’ founding member Susanna Hoffs to film herself playing guitar along with him from their own respective living rooms.

Billie also provided an update to Kerrang on what he’s kept busy with during his home quarantine and his answer should provide excitement for Green Day fans;

“I’ve been writing a lot of music, and I had all these melodies in my head, so I wrote, like, six songs since all of this has been going on,” he says. “I don’t know when I can get together with Mike and Tré, but I told them to make sure that they’re quarantined for now, and then I hope down the road we can get back in the studio with [Father Of All… producer] Butch Walker.”
