GreenDay.fm is an independent Green Day fan site run Jason Holmes. It is not affiliated with Green Day or their label. This policy covers greenday.fm, the Reject Club fan club, and the greenday.fm bot in our Discord server.
We collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and we do not run ad trackers. Questions or requests go to jason@greenday.fm.
What we collect
Your account. When you join the Reject Club we store your username, display name, email address, and password (hashed, never readable). You can add a profile picture and a “fan since” year.
Signing in with Google or Discord. If you use either, we receive your email address, display name, profile picture, and that service’s user ID. We copy your profile picture to our server. We never receive your Google or Discord password.
What you do on the site. We store what you add as a member: shows you attended, ratings, your collection, comments and reviews, forum posts, poll votes, Setlist Game picks, GD Heardle results, badges, and anything you submit for Reject of the Month. Some of this is public on your profile, and you can make your ratings and collection private.
Our Discord bot. If you link your Discord account, the bot checks whether you are in the greenday.fm Discord server, gives you the Reject Club role, and awards the Nuclear Family badge in months you hold that role. To do this we store your Discord user ID, whether you are in the server, and which months you earned the badge. If you hold the Nuclear Family role but have not linked an account yet, we keep only your Discord user ID and the month, so the badge is waiting when you link. The bot does not read messages, your online status, or any other server data.
Visitor statistics. We count visits with our own analytics, hosted on our server. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address. Your IP is used for a moment to work out your country and city, then thrown away. We keep page views, the site that referred you, browser and device type, and that country and city.
Cookies. We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it and who sees it
We use your data only to run the site: your account, your profile and stats, the games and badges, and emails you ask for, like password resets. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising.
A few services handle data so the site can work:

Our community forum runs on its own server, also run by us. We may share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account data stays until you delete your account. Discord data for linked members stays while your account is linked. A pending Discord ID for someone who has not linked is removed as soon as they link, or on request. Detailed visitor statistics are kept for about 100 days, after which only daily totals remain, with nothing tied to a person.
Deleting your data
Email jason@greenday.fm from your account’s email address, or message an admin in our Discord server, and ask for deletion. We will delete your account and everything tied to it, including any Discord data, within 30 days. You can also unlink Discord or ask for a copy of your data the same way. Canadian residents have rights under PIPEDA, and we honour the same requests from everyone.
Security
Passwords are hashed, the site runs over HTTPS, and access to the server and database is limited to the site owner. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we store small.
Children
The Reject Club is not meant for anyone under 13, and Discord requires users to be at least 13. If we learn a child under 13 has an account, we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Big changes will be announced on the site.
