Marshall has posted a great 12 minute YouTube video on Billie's brand-new signature amplifier, the 1959BJA Dookie amp. Filmed at Sunset Sound, Billie discusses his musical influences, his early days in the Bay Area punk scene, and how working with producer Rob Cavallo led to finding his iconic Dookie guitar tone using a Marshall Plexi. He also explores his approach to songwriting and chord progressions, demonstrates his stage settings, and shares the inspiration behind the amplifier's custom pastel blue design.
GreenDayLive.fm
In a huge upgrade for GreenDay.fm, we've closed our sister site, GreenDayLive.fm, and fully integrated it into this sites new Live Archive section and added a ton of great new features.
Along with being able to track your own shows and see a bunch of cool stats about them, we've added setlist rarity scores for each show in our database (for shows with 8+ songs played), rarity scores for every song, a setlist prediction game for every upcoming show and the ability to comment on and review each setlist.
Once you've added your shows to your profile (with a free Reject Club membership), you'll be able to use our powerful advanced search to ask questions not only about Green Day's live history but your own personal show history as well!
That's just a few of the many new features of our Live Archive. We pride ourselves on having the best and most accurate touring history of the band on the internet so please take some time to look around and keep checking back as we continue to build and expand on it!
