askthepoolboy: "I remember seeing them at Club Nowhere in Orlando in 93, and I thought they were locals."

Orlando Sentinel: "Other shows headed to the club include Lookout recording act Green Day and Denature at 6 p.m. Jan. 24 ($3 at the door)..."

Rex Russell: "I still have an autographed poster from that show where Billie Joe wrote, 'I am a lesbian.' Love that poster. That show was sweaty and fun."

Jeff O.: "Club Nowhere. Cruddy little bar on Bennett Rd., near the Roxy. More or less a punk bar. Green Day played here in 1993 or so, right before they got big."

Jim Leatherman: "This was about six to eight months before Dookie came out. There's this little club that holds maybe 50 people, but about 150 were in it in the middle of January - so it was chilly out but hot inside. Every two or three shots I had to wipe off the lens because it kept fogging up. The kids were diving and there was a really low ceiling that they were kicking the ceiling tiles out."
