Show notes

Charlie Krich: "Yes, that was 1992. Billie Joe's cousin who lived in Columbia got Green Day to play."

Erin Spitale-Hansen: "I saw you play in Greenville, CT in a small VFW hall. Before you made it big - one of the greatest shows I have been to (seen over 200 bands)."

Jay Balfe: "I was at this show... I remember it being good. I told some younger kids that I worked with, that I saw Green Day play for $5 at a VFW Hall & they thought I was joking. I found it humorous that they thought I was joking & then it made me feel old. I'm pretty sure I remember that silly flyer hanging in the halls of MHS."

Andy Excuse: "Chris's amp head was an unreliable piece of shit. He didn't know or care who the hell Green Day were, so he asked Billie Joe if Sorry Excuse could use Green Day's rig. Billie Joe grudgingly assented, but imperiously bade Chris not to touch his knobs. A few years later, Chris's middle school students were astonished to learn that their teacher had played a show with Green Day in a VFW hall."
