gdtourbus1990: "Wednesday June 27: We drove over the Rockies in the night and crossed the great divide. I was getting thirsty and there was no gas for miles. Around 3am we rolled in to Butte MT and the only gas station we could find was closed, so we pulled up to the pumps and parked for the night. Butte was a spooky town. The station owner woke us up in the morning. We filled up and were on our way. We got to Billings in the afternoon and there was an eager crowd waiting outside the VFW Hall. Aaron bought hair bleach and now everyone in the band was blonde. Thursday June 28: A welcome day off. No need to hustle. The kids in Billings were great. John and Sean met some young women with a Ford #Bronco and they went #4wheeling while the rest of the guys went swimming in the Yellowstone River. Time was spent cleaning me out and repacking the gear and late in the afternoon we headed for Denver. For some reason we missed the turn off while heading east on the 94 when we should have headed south on the 90, so just past #pompeyspillar_montana we turned right and we were soon back on track. It was just before #billings my right-side rear view mirror was whacked off, ouch!, thanks Mike… #aaroncometbus fixed me up with #ducttape but it ain’t pretty."
